To Bishkek and Beyond
In Central Asia, locked in between China and Kazakhstan lies the Kyrgyz Republic. With a recorded past of well over 2000 years, Kyrgyzstan harbours a rich cultural history, surpassed only by its natural beauty. We will venture Into the inhospitable Tian Shan Mountain range for a week of epic freeride ski- and snowboard adventures. We will sleep in a yurt camp at 2300 meters altitude and we will travel in snowcats, on ski-doo’s or on horseback in search of pristine powder snow. Kyrgyzstan’s land-locked location and its distance from any ocean or other large body of water ensures amazing conditions with light and fluffy powder snow.
This is going to be a trip you will never forget. Our homebase will be a felted yurtcamp in the middle of the Jyrgalan area of the Tian Shan mountain range. This mountain range is the second largest mountain range of Asia, only beaten by the mighty Himalayas.
The Tian Shan treeline is situated on a rather impressive 2900 meters. This high elevation will allow us to enjoy long winding treeruns! Snow certainty is covered too; our private snowcat will be able to drop us off at elevations of up to 3800 meters high! On average, we’ll enjoy about 8 to 12 drops a day. Should – for whatever reason – our cat not be able to bring us where we need to go then we’ll easily switch over to ski-doo or horseback assisted travelling…
